New Colors: Look for Ken Butler III in the Aaron’s Outdoors Mossy Oak camouflage colors this weekend. This will be the second time the paint scheme will be run in NASCAR competition. David Reutimann piloted this paint scheme in NASCAR Sprint Cup competition earlier this season at Atlanta Motor Speedway in September and it will be run in one more race later this year.
Lowe’s History: Ken Butler III will be earning his rookie stripes at Lowe’s Motor Speedway this weekend as it will be his first start at the 1.5-mile oval in Nationwide Series competition.
Fan Connection: Visit the Aaron’s Corporate Display in the Fan Zone at Lowe’s Motor Speedway to meet your favorite Aaron’s drivers. Ken Butler III will be visiting the display on Friday, October 16 from 5:00 – 5:15 p.m. EDT. Trevor Bayne will be at the display on Friday from 4:30 – 4:45 p.m. EDT. Aaron’s Sprint Cup drivers will be visiting the display on Saturday, October 17. Meet David Reutimann from 4:10 – 4:25 p.m. and Michael Waltrip at 4:40 – 4:55 p.m. EDT.
Meet Ken Butler III: Come meet Ken Butler III on Friday, October 16th from 1:00 p.m. – 2:00 p.m. EDT on pit road at Lowe’s Motor Speedway. Butler will be signing autographs along with his R3 teammate Robert Richardson Jr. and several other NASCAR Nationwide Series drivers.
Points Check: R3 Motorsports sits 26th in the 2009 NASCAR Nationwide Series (NNS) Owner Standings, 11 markers behind 25th, after Kevin Conway piloted the No. 23 Chevy to an 18th-place finish in the Copart 300 at Auto Club Speedway last weekend.
