RICHARDSON LOOKING FOR LADY LUCK IN VEGAS

Driver set to pilot No. 0 North Texas Pipe car

(China Grove, NC) February 24, 2009 – Set to provide high speed entertainment to thousands of race fans at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway on Saturday, Robert Richardson and the No. 0 North Texas Pipe car are ready to hit Sin City with hopes that lady luck will bring them good fortune when the green flag waves on race day.

Coming off a disappointing finish of 33rd at Daytona in the season opener, Richardson is primed to bring home a solid finish to the R3 Motorsports shop.

“We had a great car at Daytona, we just didn’t get to show our competition how strong we are,” said Richardson. “The No. 0 North Texas Pipe crew has given me a great car again this weekend and I know we can make some of our own noise, entertain the crowd and bring home a top finish. Racing at Las Vegas is fast. I have had a lot of experience and some good finishes at the track. I’m confident in our team and I’m looking forward to having a teammate out on the track as well with Ken Butler III in the No. 23 car. Plus, it is great to have North Texas Pipe back on the hood of our car. They have been a great sponsor in the past and I hope to represent them well out on the track.”

The young team looked back to the experience at Daytona to learn and develop a solid strategy to pave a smooth path for the rest of the season.

“Rob is a natural born athlete and he has focus, drive and determination to take the No. 0 North Texas Pipe car to a solid finish this week at Las Vegas,” said Mark Nelson, crew chief. “Rob’s competitive drive makes him push his self to the limit. Plus, he has a lot of experience at this track which has equated to some strong finishes. It is going to be a great weekend for us.”

The No. 0 North Texas Pipe team will be in action Saturday in the Sam’s Town 300 at Las Vegas Motor Speedway at 4 p.m. ET on ESPN2.
